Abstract: To investigate immediate color changing effects of Nd: YAG laser on the surface of domestic sheep irides.

Methods: In this case series study, we extracted the irides of three domestic sheeps and applied double frequency Nd: YAG laser on the irides surface. The Laser had a wavelength of 532 nm, energy of 1.5 mj, spot size of 800 microns and 1 pulse for each burst.

Results: The targeted spots were all depigmented without penetrating the iris, lightening the iris color. When a -20 D concave lens was placed between the target and the laser source, the spots became larger making the treatment more diffuse.

Conclusion: Double frequency Nd:YAG laser can effectively depigment iris. This procedure can be used as cosmetic purposes by creating lighter eye color.
